Officers of the 482nd BG with canteens outside their barracks

This photo was taken outside the officers barracks at U.S. 8th Army Air Force Station #102, Alconbury UK, home to the 482nd Bomb Group. The 482d Bomb Group was formed at Alconbury on 20 August 1943, under the command of Lt Col Baskin R. Lawrence. It was home to the 812th BS, 813th BS and 814th BS and later the 36th BS.
